Natalya reveals goal for the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble PLE
The WWE Royal Rumble Match is one of the company's signature traditions. The marquee match sets the tone for WrestleMania and has for the past 37 years. The first Women's Royal Rumble Match was held in 2018. Natalya just recalled a major Rumble moment while also revealing her big goal for next year.
The Queen of Harts and Liv Morgan are the only WWE Superstars who have competed in every Women's Royal Rumble. Despite her seven Rumble appearances, Natalya has never won the match. She does have the second-longest cumulative time in the match with 2:38:39, behind Bianca Belair's 3:05:28 from four appearances. The third-generation superstar also has the sixth-longest time spent in a single Rumble Match, which was the 56:01 she went in 2019.
Natalya started the 2019 Women's Rumble as the second entrant with Lacey Evans. She was the 23rd elimination, tossed out by Nia Jax, and had two eliminations of her own - Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, with Kairi Sane's help. A fan shared a clip of Natalya battling Jax, and the 42-year-old responded with her goal for next year.
"I was really proud of this… I was at the 55 min mark- the longest I’ve ever been in a match…a goal of mine is to break that this year! [heart emoji]," Natalya wrote.
The 2024 Royal Rumble PLE opened up with the 30-Woman Match. Natalya entered first and began the match with Naomi. The Hart Family member was tossed out by Tegan Nox at 20:57, as the third elimination, and before she secured any eliminations of her own.
Big names set for WWE Royal Rumble
The 38th annual WWE Royal Rumble is the next PLE scheduled for the main roster. The big event will take place on Saturday, February 1, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.
John Cena has been officially announced for The Rumble. This will be Cena's final Rumble event, as he is retiring at the end of next year. WWE did not confirm if The Face That Runs The Place will compete in the 30-Man Rumble Match or some other bout.
WWE also has Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Liv Morgan, and CM Punk advertised for the PLE. This will be the first-ever Royal Rumble event not to take place in the month of January.
