New champions crowned on WWE SmackDown ahead of Money in the Bank

On the latest episode of SmackDown, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory of A-Town Down Under defended their WWE Tag Team Championship against Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa of DIY. The bout took place in the main event of the show.

Ciampa and Waller started the match. The other two stars entered the ring, and both teams started throwing hands. DIY took out their opponents at ringside with a dive. Later on, Grayson Waller nailed Johnny Gargano with a diving elbow drop. Austin Theory entered the ring and kicked Gargano before pounding him on the mat.

Theory failed to hit Tommaso Ciampa with a running knee into the barricade, and Gargano planted Grayson with a destroyer on the floor. Johnny Wrestling hit his former protege with an enzuigiri and tried to tag out, but his partner was taken out. DIY nailed Grayson Waller with a Shatter Machine and got a two-count.

Tommaso hit Waller with Project Ciampa, and DIY went for Meat in the Middle. However, Theory put his partner's leg on the rope to break the count.

Waller was forced to tap out after being locked in the Gargano Escape. As a result, DIY became the new WWE Tag Team Champions ahead of Money in the Bank.
