New WWE official thanks Triple H for major opportunity

WWE's newest official just thanked Triple H for giving him a massive opportunity on SmackDown.

Ever since Nick Aldis left NWA, he was rumored to move to WWE. However, that didn't happen until recently when he was signed to a WWE contract as a producer. He was even present backstage in recent weeks and took on the role of a producer.

On the blue brand tonight, Triple H appeared to make a couple of announcements. He started by thanking Adam Pearce and all the work he had done over the years before promoting him to the position of General Manager of Monday Night RAW.

The Game then announced Nick Aldis as the new SmackDown General Manager. The latter already made his first big announcement when he announced that Kevin Owens was traded to SmackDown.

Following this announcement, Aldis took to social media to thank Triple H for this big opportunity:

"The opportunity of a lifetime. Thank you @TripleH @WWE Onwards and upwards for the blue brand! #SmackDown," he wrote.

Check out his tweet here:

It will be interesting to see if Nick Aldis will transition back to the role of a performer or if he will be General Manager for a long time.
