Next step in CM Punk's feud with Drew McIntyre predicted by WWE Analyst
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have been feuding for nearly eight months on WWE RAW. A WWE Analyst predicted the next step in their heated rivalry.
After The Scottish Warrior defeated The Best in the World at SummerSlam, the latter got revenge at Bash in Berlin, beating McIntyre in a brutal Strap Match. Although Punk wanted to move on from his rivalry with the former World Heavyweight Champion, he was viciously attacked by the latter last Monday on RAW. A bloodied Punk left the arena in an ambulance.
Speaking on his Cheap Heat podcast, analyst Peter Rosenberg predicted that the two superstars will go head-to-head for a third time in a Hell in a Cell Match. Meanwhile, he suggested that Punk and McIntyre main event the Bad Blood PLE:
"You know what we're getting. Oh yeah, we are going to Hell in a Cell. They have to. I believe too they should make it the true main event of Bad Blood. You do not need a title match to main event Bad Blood. It should be CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre, Hell in a Cell, once and for all, this is it," he said. [15:14 - 15:42]
AJ Lee should return to help CM Punk, believes WWE Hall of Famer
While discussing CM Punk's feud with Drew McIntyre on the Busted Open podcast, Hall of Famer Bully Ray expressed his desire to see AJ Lee return to help her husband against The Scottish Warrior.
The wrestling legend pointed out that Lee's return would have a significant impact on the storyline due to her popularity among the WWE Universe:
"AJ has not been around in a long time. AJ, a beloved female, beloved wrestler amongst the WWE Universe. You bring AJ Lee back into the mix and people, the emotion will flood into this storyline like you wouldn't believe it. It'll be the perfect icing on the cake for emotional investment into this whole story," he said.
After being destroyed by Drew McIntyre last Monday on RAW, it would be interesting to see how CM Punk will retaliate and whether AJ Lee would indeed return to help him.
