Nia Jax addresses controversial shot at Bayley ahead of WWE SmackDown

Nia Jax has addressed her controversial comments about WWE Women's Champion Bayley last Friday night on SmackDown. The veteran won the Queen of the Ring Tournament, earlier this year and is in line for a shot at the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam next month.

Last week on the blue brand, Jax and the 35-year-old had a confrontation, while Women's Money in the Bank winner, Tiffany Stratton was also in the ring. The Queen of the Ring referred to the champion as, "BBL Bayley," but changed her tune in a recent interview.

Speaking with Tim Battle on the Battleground podcast, The Irresistible Force noted that her rival was all-natural, and she was only reacting to the former Damage CTRL member's shots at her during the promo last week.

"When we got in there, and she brought up the injuring and all this stuff, it just hit me, and I was literally saying the obvious, what everybody has known for her to have. I have known Bayley long to know that is an all-natural, beautiful Brazilian booty, Latina [laughs], but knowing her for as long as I have and seeing her character develop, I think she’s been more embracing of her God-given talents. So I just stated the obvious," she said. [H/T: Ringside News]

Dutch Mantell reacts to Nia Jax's segment on WWE SmackDown

Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell has shared his thoughts on the segment featuring Nia Jax, Bayley, and Tiffany Stratton on last week's edition of WWE SmackDown.

Tiffany Stratton won the Women's MITB Ladder Match earlier this month and teased a cash-in this past Friday. While Jax and Stratton appear to be aligned on SmackDown, the veteran didn't seem too happy with the 25-year-old star when it looked like she was tempted to cash in on a fallen Bayley.

Speaking on the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Mantell shared that he liked the segment because it teased tension between Jax and Stratton ahead of SummerSlam.

"I liked this segment because you saw the alliances and you saw it change right in front of you. That Tiffany, when Nia got at little hot at her, she got behind Bayley. Her whole position moved in the ring. Then at the end, I'll cash this in and Nia... that told the story," said Mantell. [From 26:41 onwards]

Nia Jax battled Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship in the main event of Elimination Chamber PLE, earlier this year but came up short. Only time will tell if she can capture the WWE Women's Championship from Bayley at SummerSlam on August 3.
