Nia Jax approves of interesting change to WWE move’s name
By proving naysayers wrong for months since her WWE return in September 2023, Nia Jax earned her way into WWE SummerSlam. She became the Queen of the Ring in May and, on August 3, dethroned Bayley inside Cleveland Browns Stadium to win the Women's Championship.
There is a new face of the women's division on WWE SmackDown, and it will be a difficult task for any member of the roster to put away The Irresistible Force. Jax retweeted a fan's post on X, which called the Jackknife Powerbomb she hit on The Role Model at SummerSlam the "JaxKnife," seemingly signifying this as the name of her signature move:
Her bout with Bayley saw a moment where the former champion caught her with a huge powerbomb from the top rope. However, Jax managed to kick out of the pinfall attempt. Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton then sprinted to the ring in what looked like a cash-in attempt.
But it was only a ruse to distract The Role Model. Nia Jax used the confusion to take down Bayley and ultimately hit the latter with the Annihilator twice for the win. Stratton and Jax celebrated together post-match.
Tiffany Stratton may hold off her Money in the Bank cash-in on account of a WWE Hall of Famer's hunt
After winning the Money in the Bank briefcase in July, Tiffany Stratton has mentioned Trish Stratus as a dream opponent. However, she has not always portrayed the Hall of Famer in a positive light. Trish Stratus has finally responded to Tiffany Stratton.
On Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, she touched upon a possible high-profile match against the young stalwart. Stratus said she will consider it if she is healthy enough to get back in the ring. The legend also added that she might just have to put Stratton in her place:
"There are a few boxes being checked, you know? And again, like I said, if I can go back 100%, I will and I'll consider it. But I don't know, if she [Tiffany Stratton] keeps running her mouth, maybe you've got to put some people in their place. What can I say?"
There is an obvious reason why Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton's newfound friendship cannot last, but perhaps WWE can push the eventual implosion further down the line with a high-profile storyline like this.
