Nia Jax claims she’s set to make major WWE change ahead of SmackDown
The final WWE SmackDown on FOX is set to kick off shortly and fans are buzzing over the loaded episode, which will also see the road to Bad Blood heat up. Nia Jax is also generating buzz for herself amid complaints from her fans.
The Irresistible Force dethroned Bayley of the WWE Women's Championship just over one month ago at SummerSlam. Jax has not defended since then but has been on a tear across the blue brand, along with Tiffany Stratton. The Money in the Bank briefcase holder recently angered Jax following a brutal Street Fight win, but that's not the only frustration the champion and her fans are expressing today.
Jax is part of the Global Superstars DLC Pack for WWE 2K24, which comes out on September 18. The pack also includes Lyra Valkyria, Michelle McCool, Kairi Sane, Jade Cargill, Carlito, and Dragon Lee. 2K released a preview of Jax's entrance in the video game at around 3 a.m. ET, which didn't sit well with many of her fans. The kicker was how Nia's entrance video was replaced with a generic clip on the Tron.
2K fixed the video almost 12 hours later, but the controversy had already made the rounds on social media. Jax seemed to jokingly acknowledge the snub on X while also fueling the buzz going into tonight's SmackDown.
"My next entrance I'm gonna do backflips all the way to the ring [upside-down face emoji] [face with rolling eyes emoji]," Nia Jax joked.
WWE has not announced Jax for a match on tonight's live SmackDown as of this writing. However, there's potential for some sort of acknowledgment during her entrance with Stratton, who is scheduled to wrestle Bayley tonight.
