Nia Jax explains why she can't wait for 43-year-old star to return to WWE

Nia Jax recently shared that she is looking forward to the return of a major WWE Superstar. The person she is referring to is none other than her former rival, Asuka.

The Empress of Tomorrow has been out of action for numerous months, and it has been reported that she is not expected to be back by the end of this year. The 43-year-old star and The Irresistible Force have shared the ring multiple times since they were in NXT. The last time they wrestled one-on-one was during the November 9, 2020, episode of WWE RAW, which ended via DQ.

During a recent appearance on Die Woche, Nia Jax stated that she cannot wait for Asuka to return from her injury, as she is looking forward to having another match with the latter.

"One of my toughest opponents has been Asuka… She’s incredibly strong and she’s incredibly explosive. She’s definitely a tough opponent. Love getting in the ring with her, love working with her. I can’t wait till she comes back. I hope we go head-to-head but Asuka’s one of my toughest," Nia Jax said. [H/T POST Wrestling]

Nia Jax recalls getting emotional when Triple H crowned her at WWE King and Queen of the Ring 2024

Nia Jax defeated Lyra Valkyria in the finals of the 2024 Queen of the Ring tournament at the King and Queen of the Ring 2024 Premium Live Event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This victory also resulted in her winning the WWE Women's Championship against Bayley later at SummerSlam 2024.

Jax added that she became emotional when WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H crowned her as the Queen of the Ring at the PLE.

"I didn't realize how emotional it would be for me in the actual moment. To see him walk in with the crown, it was full circle. He took a chance on me ten years ago when I tried out. He saw something in me, and again, when I wanted to come back, he took another chance on me. Him [Triple H] giving me the crown—it was a full circle moment. It wouldn't be possible if he didn't give me the opportunity," Nia Jax said.

At the Crown Jewel 2024 Premium Live Event, Nia Jax will return to Saudi Arabia to collide with Liv Morgan for the Crown Jewel Championship.
