Nia Jax reveals she didn't know who popular star was before WWE appearance
Nia Jax has disclosed that she had no idea who a popular star was until he appeared in WWE. The Irresistible Force won the Queen of the Ring Tournament earlier this year.
The veteran also earned the right to challenge for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam by winning the tournament. She will be facing Bayley for the title at the premium live event on August 3. Speaking on the Battleground podcast, Jax shared that she had no idea who Joe Hendry was before he appeared in WWE.
The TNA star's entrance music has recently gone viral and he has made several appearances in NXT so far. Jax noted that WWE working with TNA has allowed for more talent to get the spotlight.
"There is so much talent all over the world in wrestling. It is about luck, and being at the right place at the right time. So, being able to be like, this girl or this guy has been killing it on this scene for so long. Like, Joe Hendry guy.[...] I mean, don't hate me, but I didn't know who he was. And now that they have been having him on, I'm like oh let me take a look and see his form of work. It is actually like a really cool thing, and opening the eyes of our IWC [internet wrestling community] to see all of these people. I think it is a cool thing," she said. [From 10:25 - 11:04]

The veteran added that the title match between the two stars seemed more interesting for SummerSlam.
"You know what I like about that because that's what the internet said about her. She is big, she is strong, she is dangerous.
