Nia Jax vs. current champion teased on WWE's social media post

Nia Jax could be the WWE Women's Champion for a very long time if she carries on in the current trajectory she has been on this year. In an interesting social media post, WWE teased Jax facing a current champion.

That champion is none other than The Prodigy - the two-time NXT Women's Champion, Roxanne Perez. The 22-year-old has had an incredible second run as champion so far - overcoming any challenger that has come her way. She was even a part of the extremely rare crossover Champion vs. Champion match as she defeated the highly-touted TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace at NXT Battleground.

In a video taken backstage, WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax crossed paths with the NXT Women's Champion. The look on both of their faces and the eyeball emoji on the social media post seemed to tease a future Champion vs. Champion match.

Jax would be the favorite by quite a distance should the match ever happen. Considering how hot the WWE Women's Champion has been since returning last year, this is a match that could happen in the future at some point. It could just be a matter of when and not if it happens.

Is Nia Jax's next title defense going to be in Berlin?

As for the WWE Women's Champion, she is going to have to focus on her next title defense. In what turned out to be a very interesting development, her championship celebration on 16th August was completely hijacked by Michin - who seemed to be acting on behalf of her ally, Bayley.

As fans know, Bayley was the one who Jax dethroned at SummerSlam to become the champion. It seems like a logical next step for Michin vs. Nia Jax to happen at Bash in Berlin as the card only has three matches officially announced as of now.
