Nick Aldis makes major Roman Reigns announcement before WWE SmackDown
WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis had something to say about Roman Reigns ahead of the upcoming edition of the blue brand in his announcement. The 39-year-old star picked up a huge win over the weekend at Bad Blood 2024.
The Original Tribal Chief is back in WWE and is winning matches yet again. At Bad Blood 2024, he won his first match since WrestleMania XL, where he had lost his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes. Ironically enough, this time, Rhodes was his partner instead of his opponent, and he was facing down his old protege in Solo Sikoa, and one of the stars that Sikoa has brought into The Bloodline, Jacob Fatu.
Reigns and Rhodes defeated The Bloodline, but after the match, things were not really peaceful as The Rock made an unexplained return and a cryptic gesture that seemed to indicate that he was coming after Rhodes' title, or that he could be coming after Reigns as well. There was no confirmation as to exactly what The Final Boss wanted.
Now, Nick Aldis has announced that Roman Reigns will be making an appearance on SmackDown this week:
"Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know tomorrow on USA Network, we see the return of the OTC. Roman Reigns will be in the house on SmackDown, I hope you will too. See you there." [00:53 - 1:11]
Roman Reigns' appearance on WWE SmackDown may provide quite a few clarifications
With Roman Reigns' appearance, fans will be hoping to gain some much-needed clarity on exactly what the situation is between him and The Rock, as well as The Bloodline. It will also clarify if The Head of the Table is re-forming the original Bloodline now that Jimmy Uso is also back.
Roman has also made it clear that he wants to go after Cody Rhodes' title. However, after the champion was attacked by Kevin Owens after Bad Blood 2024, it remains to be seen if he will get a chance to confront Rhodes, or if the star will be busy with KO and his reasons for the attack.
