Nikkita Lyons reacts to backstage moment with Oba Femi

On this week's edition of WWE NXT, Nikkita Lyons was involved in a backstage segment with Oba Femi. She took to social media and reacted to the former North American Champion's message.

In December 2021, Femi signed with the WWE. He quickly became one of the biggest names in NXT and won the North American Championship on January 2, 2024. After successful title defenses against Ivar, Wes Lee, and Tony D'Angelo, Femi lost the title on Week 2 of NXT's CW premiere to The Don in a rematch. His reign as the North American Champion ended after 273 days.

This week on NXT, Femi and Lyons met during a backstage segment. She then handed over her jacket. On Instagram, The Lioness reacted with an emoji.

Lyons recently returned to NXT TV after recovering from her latest injury. On the October 15 edition of NXT, she defeated Lola Vice after interference from Jaida Parker. This week, she attacked Adriana Rizzo, seemingly after Femi asked her to.

Damian Priest spoke highly of Oba Femi

Damian Priest teased a future rivalry between him and Oba Femi. Priest is a former member of The Judgment Day and lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event.

During a Fanatics Live Event, Priest spoke highly of Femi.

“That’s gonna be a megastar. You can just tell sometimes and I mean, it’s all set up for him to just - he just has not taken his foot off the gas but, he’s gonna be fine so, I feel like that’s gonna inevitably happen anyway… Yeah, I’m not looking forward to that one (he laughed)," he said.

Oba Femi is still feuding with Tony D'Angelo and The Family. At the upcoming Halloween Havoc event, he will face the newly crowned North American Champion in a Tables, Ladders, and Scares Match. This will mark the trilogy between Femi and D'Angelo.
