"No time to mess around" - Bayley reveals massive change in real-life Bloodline member following WWE return
Bayley recently shared the changes she noticed in a real-life member of The Bloodline following her WWE return. The reigning WWE Women's Champion thinks that Nia Jax is different now compared to her first stint with the company.
Jax is set to challenge Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam. The Irresistible Force earned the opportunity after winning the Queen of the Ring Tournament.
In an appearance on Booker T's Hall of Fame podcast, the champ shared that her opponent has had a different mindset ever since her return. She has known Jax for years, but her break from wrestling helped her take it to the next level.
"I've known Nia for the past 10 years and she's always been strong, she's always been dominant. But I think that time away from WWE really got her mind going in a different way. It got her firing on different cylinders. When she came back, it was like there's no time to mess around. She wasn't going to just be happy to be here. She was gonna come here and she was gonna make a change and she was going to put people on notice," Bayley said. [4:49 - 5:13]
Nia Jax was released on November 4, 2021, but returned full-time last September. She's a real-life member of The Bloodline because her father is a cousin of The Rock's grandfather, Peter Maivia.
Bayley gives her take on WWE possibly introducing midcard women's titles
One of the most popular suggestions among fans is to introduce a midcard championship in the women's division. Bayley is not opposed to the idea, but she would like to see the women's tag team division be booked better before a Women's Intercontinental or United States Championship is created.
"I think that they're doing that in NXT right now with the NXT Women's North American Title. I would love for us to have something like that. I think that would be great, but I still, I always say this. As proud as I am of the Women's Tag Team Titles, they also don't always get that time, they don't always get those matches. So first, I would love to see those take off and I would love to see the women's tag division kind of be put on the map and be on these pay-per-views with us," Bayley said. Bayley became the WWE Women's Champion by beating Iyo Sky at WrestleMania 40. On the other hand, Nia Jax last held a world title back in 2018 when she won the RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania 34.
