WWE News: Noam Dar reveals what almost cost him a WWE contract, his relationship with Finn Balor, more
A recent interview with The Metro featured the WWE Superstar Noam Dar.
The Scottish Supernova commented that the first ever WWE Universal Champion, Finn Balor, has a monumental influence on his wrestling career. Noam believes that the professional success of Balor has helped him to shape up his career due to their consistent friendship. Dar said:
“He's a fantastic human being, and now we're almost neighbours. It's funny how things work out.”
During this interview, Noam Dar revealed how playing the popular football simulation game FIFA almost cost him a WWE contract.
This year in January, he had received a phone call from the current NXT General Manager William Regal, who was entrusted with the task to scout the best of the cruiserweight performers for WWE’s Cruiserweight Classic and 205 Live.
Dar disclosed that he missed that call “because I was playing FIFA”.

Moreover, the only reason which forced him to pause the game and check his phone was the fact that he was “losing 2-0 and needed an excuse to get out of the game!” The Champagne Supernova decided to call back and that landed him the opportunity to be a part of the main roster of WWE.
He was the youngest participant in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic and defeated Gurv Sihra in the first round of the tournament. Eventually, Dar was eliminated from the CWC after losing the quarter-final match to Zack Sabre Jr.
Dar also stated that he is devoted to learning new things every week as there are a lot of differences between WWE and the independent wrestling promotions that he had previously wrestled in:
"It's not just in the ring, but in everything that goes on, so I get to the venue and see how much production goes behind setting up TV every single week.
Every week I'm picking up new things from so many knowledgeable people here."
Noam Dar, who possesses eight years of pro-wrestling experience, made his RAW debut in his hometown Scotland as the tag team partner of the then-Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick to wrestle the team of Sin Cara and Rich Swann.
