Not Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, but 40-year-old star credited as being the "glue" of WWE by legend

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are known to be the face of WWE over the past couple of years. Both men have been at the top of the men's roster for a long time now, defeating some of the biggest names in the industry. Both Reigns and Rhodes main evented the past two editions of WrestleMania, giving the WWE Universe one of the best storylines in history.

However, both men have had a lot of stars involved, solidifying their names on the top and intensifying their rivalries from the back end. One of the biggest names among them is Sami Zayn. The star has had some of the best times of his career over the past couple of years, gaining a lot of spotlight on the main event scene.

In a recent edition of Busted Open Radio's Holiday Party, Tommy Dreamer addressed the same and called the Intercontinental Champion the 'glue' to a number of storylines in the industry lately.

"I think Sami—we don't realize how much we love this guy because he's never the focal point, but he is the guy that's always there. He's accomplished so much this year, and he's the glue to a lot of these storylines," said Tommy Dreamer. [40:09 onwards]
