Odyssey Jones highlights current issues with New Day member ahead of WWE RAW
Odyssey Jones delivered an interesting message highlighting issues within The New Day ahead of tomorrow night's edition of WWE RAW. Tomorrow night's episode of the red brand will air live from the FLA Live Arena in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The big man was selected by RAW in the 2023 WWE Draft but never made an appearance. He was selected by RAW once again this past April and finally showed up on the August 5 episode of WWE RAW. Jones joined The New Day in their rivalry against The Final Testament.
He picked up a victory over Vincent Winey in a squash match this past Monday night. Ahead of tomorrow's show, Jones took to his Instagram story to claim that Xavier Woods will eventually warm up to him in the group. You can check out Odyssey Jones' post on Instagram by clicking here.
"I'll definitely grow on him!!!" he wrote.
The rivalry between The New Day and The Final Testament has been going on for months on WWE RAW. Karrion Kross and his heel faction have been trying to convince Xavier Woods that it is time to leave The New Day behind.
Former WWE manager suggests Odyssey Jones might not be a draw
Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell recently claimed that Odyssey Jones might be "too big" to draw money if he doesn't have a compelling personality.
Speaking on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the legend commented on Odyssey Jones and noted that his size could be an issue. Mantell added that he doesn't like seeing WWE bring bigger guys in for a push and then do nothing with them.
"He's a big guy, a really big guy. But he's almost too big, to tell you the truth, to draw any money with, and I hate to see these big guys come in, they'll push them for a while [and then stop], and I don't know what kind of personality he has. If he has a personality, maybe they'll do something with him. And I've said this forever, if they can't talk and they don't have a personality, he's just another big guy." [1:37:54 – 1:38:25]

Odyssey Jones signed with the company in February 2019 but has never captured a title during his time in the promotion. It will be interesting to see what the promotion has planned for the 30-year-old now that he has debuted on the main roster.
