Omos breaks silence after recent controversial WWE rumors
Omos seemingly reacted to a recent report about his status with WWE on social media today. The Nigerian Giant has not competed in a match in over three months.
The 30-year-old has not appeared on television since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 5 edition of WWE SmackDown. MVP served as Omos' manager, but there were reports this week that the 50-year-old was removed from the company's internal roster.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently suggested that WWE has essentially given up on Omos. The veteran took to his X/Twitter account to seemingly react to the rumors and compared journalism to tabloids.
"Journalism has turned into National Inquirer 😂," he wrote.
Omos was regularly competing on WWE Live Events earlier this year but that is no longer the case. He recently launched his own fragrance channel on YouTube as well.
Braun Strowman comments on working with Omos in WWE
Former Universal Champion Braun Strowman recently discussed what it was like working with Omos at Crown Jewel 2022.
Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Riju Dasgupta in an exclusive interview, The Monster of All Monsters commented on his match against the veteran two years ago. He claimed the former champion was the biggest human he had ever seen and found it comical that they were both considered the same species.
"There's a saying in life that I learned a long time ago through strongman and everything, 'There's always somebody bigger and badder out there,' and for almost my entire life I'd never ran into it until I met Omos. He is one big, bad S.O.B. There's no other way of putting it around. He's the largest human being I've ever seen in my life. It's comical to think that we're the same species." [4:38 – 5:03]

The big man and AJ Styles captured the RAW Tag Team Championship in 2021 and held the titles for 133 days after winning them during Night 1 of WrestleMania 37. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Omos in the world of professional wrestling.
