One of two WWE stars will win the Women's Money in the Bank but not Chelsea Green, says veteran
Six WWE Superstars will square off in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match in Canada this Saturday. While many think Chelsea Green could emerge as the winner, a wrestling veteran thinks otherwise.
The veteran in question is Matthew Rehwoldt (FKA Aiden English). On the Rebooked podcast, he discussed the potential result of the upcoming Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. The current TNA color commentator suggested that Tiffany Stratton or Lyra Valkyria would probably walk out with the briefcase.
The former WWE Superstar claimed the Stamford-based company sees long-term potential in the two rising stars. Hence, one of them could become Ms. Money in the Bank this weekend.
"So, that's the thing. Again, just kinda based on like common logic, recent bookings, and long-term potential—the way they've been using them—I think it's either Tiffany or Lyra. I think they see long-term potential in both. Again, same thing. I think, at long last, they're both not quite there yet, but I think they see potential in both of them. Give them a nice eight- to 12-month run with it. By that time, work some kind of main event-style matches, and then, you know, next year's WrestleMania or whenever the hell it is, I think they could have a big cash in either one of them," he said. Former WWE star wants Chelsea Green to win the briefcase
Despite predicting that Lyra Valkyria or Tiffany Stratton would win the Women's Money in the Bank contract, Matthew Rehwoldt disclosed on the same episode of the Rebooked podcast that he would like to see Chelsea Green capture the briefcase.
The former NXT Tag Team Champion claimed Green having the briefcase would be "so much fun!"
"So, I think those are the two money favorites. But man, Chelsea would be so much fun," he said. [56:04-56:10]
Although Chelsea Green has previously held the Women's Tag Team Championship, she has never won a singles title in her WWE career. It would be interesting to see if the 33-year-old takes her first step towards claiming a singles title by becoming Ms. Money in the Bank this weekend.
