Ongoing WWE rivalry is similar to watching "Godzilla vs Kong," says veteran
A WWE Hall of Famer recently praised two superstars, claiming their recent face-off felt like watching the blockbuster movie Godzilla vs Kong. The veteran in question is Bully Ray.
The feud between Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman is currently one of the highlights of the red brand. The two were scheduled to compete in a singles match on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW. However, Reed charged at his rival even before the bell rang. The former WWE Universal Champion got out of the way, sending Bronson into the turnbuckle, which he tore apart.
The match could not get started as two heavyweights started attacking each other. The chaotic brawl led to Bronson Reed throwing a fan at Braun Strowman, who, in return, sent the former NXT North American Champion crashing through the barricade. The two took their fight to the back and continued to brawl in the backstage area until they went crashing through a drywall.
While speaking on the latest edition of Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray shared his honest take on Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman's brawl. The former WWE Tag Team Champion praised both performers for their athleticism despite being massive units. He further claimed that watching the two fight with each other was similar to watching the movie Godzilla vs. Kong:
"Last night, I didn't feel like I was watching two plodding big men. I felt like I was watching two monsters just absolutely destroy one another. This is like modern-day big men; this is like the big men from back in the day mixed with the athleticism that you can see from a Ricochet and Ospreay. Kind of like watching 'Godzilla vs. Kong,' where first they're fighting in the jungle and they end up fighting in the city!" he said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]
Wrestling veteran predicts former WWE Champion's return will badly impact Bronson Reed
Bronson Reed started on his path to destruction after taking out Seth Rollins on RAW. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo believes the former World Heavyweight Champion's return would halt Reed's momentum.
During an edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo, the 63-year-old claimed that WWE potentially booking The Visionary to take out Reed on his return would end the latter's impressive run:
"Bro there is only one thing you can do as far as I am concerned and they are gonna go the complete opposite way. Let him continue to do this and squash people and Tsunami [sic] people and beat people, and finally Rollins come back? Bro you gotta have him do the same thing to Rollins again. You know they are not gonna. You know that's gonna be end of Bronson Reed just like it was the end of Nakamura," he said. [01:08 onwards]
With Bronson Reed going through top stars, it remains to be seen which superstar will end up the Aussie's dominance.
