"Only a matter of time" - Real-life Bloodline member addresses The Rock confronting Roman Reigns at WWE Bad Blood (Exclusive)
A real-life Bloodline member recently discussed The Rock's electrifying return after Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes teamed up at WWE Bad Blood 2024. The Bloodline member being referred to is Afa Anoa'i Jr., a former WWE Superstar and a cousin of The Great One.
At Bad Blood 2024, The Original Tribal Chief and The American Nightmare shockingly teamed up to face Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match. During the bout, Sikoa and Fatu as usual had back up from their Bloodline stablemates Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. Fans were also treated with Jimmy Uso's shocking return, who played a huge part in Reigns and Rhodes' victory.
However, in the final moments before the show went off the air, The Rock made his electrifying return for the first time since his appearance on the RAW after WrestleMania XL. The Final Boss stared at Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes and gestured at the duo before heading backstage.
In a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Afa Anoa'i Jr. was asked if he knew about The Great One's return. The former WWE star said that he knew his cousin was in Atlanta, but did not know he would show up at Bad Blood.
Afa also mentioned that the company could have a good build with The Rock heading into this year's Survivor Series.
"I knew The Rock was in town, I didn't know he was going to show up per se. But I knew he was in town filming and stuff like that, so it was only a matter of time before he shows up. I feel like since the whole WrestleMania deal and everything like that. So, it's a good build going into Survivor Series, I feel like," he said.
Former WWE star believes a possible match between The Rock and Roman Reigns could turn into a Triple-Threat
During an edition of the REEBOOKED podcast, former WWE Superstar Matthew Rehwoldt, fka Aiden English, said that the company's ultimate goal was to book a singles match between The Rock and Roman Reigns that did not happen at WrestleMania XL.
Rehwoldt also mentioned that he believed the Triple H-led creative team could turn a possible WrestleMania 41 match between The Final Boss and The Original Tribal Chief into a Triple Threat for Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship.
"I think [The] Rock and Roman is definitely a goal. They didn't get it last year. They pivoted. I think they want that freaking match. 'Mania has done [it] a lot of times with Triple Threats. Is this gonna build to a WrestleMania 41 Triple-Threat for the title? Roman wants his title back," he said.
It remains to be seen what The Final Boss has planned for his future in the Stamford-based promotion.
