Otis teases potential showdown against former ally following WWE RAW

Otis has had a difficult year in WWE. The star was insulted by Chad Gable every week on Monday Night RAW earlier this year before the former Mr. Money in the Bank finally stood up for himself. Following last night's RAW, the 32-year-old star uploaded a cryptic post on Instagram to potentially tease a massive showdown with Gable.

During the Pandemic Era, Otis teamed up with Chad Gable as part of the Alpha Academy on Friday Night SmackDown. The two were no strangers, as they're friends in real life and immediately clicked on weekly television. However, Chad Gable turned heel on Monday Night RAW earlier this year, and the faction remained face.

Master Gable berated every member of Alpha Academy every week, but the star still failed to win the Intercontinental Championship. On the recent edition of Monday Night RAW, Gable and The Creed Brothers confronted Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri.

The 38-year-old star insulted the faction and offered them a spot alongside The Creed Brothers. Otis rejected it and got jumped by the villainous trio before the Wyatt Sicks came to save the day. Today, Otis shared an image on Instagram and teased a potential showdown with his former mentor.

Chad Gable and Otis are former champions in WWE

In 2016, Chad Gable moved to WWE's main roster as part of American Alpha, alongside Jason Jordan. The short-run eventually ended when Jordan went to Monday Night RAW and became Kurt Angle's illegitimate son.

Meanwhile, Otis appeared on WWE's main roster as part of The Heavy Machinery in 2019. In November 2020, Chad Gable opened the Alpha Academy and recruited Otis.

The duo feuded with RK-Bro on Monday Night RAW in late 2021 and early 2022. Randy Orton and Matt Riddle had toppled the team of AJ Styles and Omos to win the RAW Tag Team Championship.

In January 2022, Gable and Otis won the RAW Tag Team Championship after the latter pinned The Viper. The two remained champions for a few weeks before they lost the title to RK-Bro before WrestleMania in Texas.

Fortunately, the Alpha Academy got a rematch against the champions and Street Profits in a Triple Threat match at The Showcase of The Immortals in Texas. However, despite their efforts, RK-Bro managed to retain the RAW Tag Team Championship.
