Outside company makes major announcement on plans for CM Punk, Tiffany Stratton, Liv Morgan and other WWE stars
The WWE Universe can expect to see their favorite superstars become even more of a mainstream crossover act. CM Punk, Tiffany Stratton, Drew McIntyre, Liv Morgan, and AEW's Miro have made their names off wrestling, but now they want more and have enlisted help to get a bigger piece. A non-WWE company has revealed plans for more than one dozen stars and other familiar faces.
The Paradigm Talent Agency began signing WWE talents earlier this year to represent them in all areas outside of the ring. The award-winning full-service entertainment agency signed Damian Priest in April, then Tiffany Stratton and CM Punk joined in June. Paradigm touted potential projects for the wrestlers, such as acting, unscripted projects, graphic novels and other books, brand partnerships, and speaking engagements, among others.
Paradigm has launched a new division, The Sports Group, for talents from WWE, AEW, UFC, and other sports-related brands. The Sports Group's client roster currently features Punk, Stratton, Priest, Drew McIntyre, Liv Morgan, and ten other WWE stars who were not named. AEW's Miro is also represented, along with UFC's Jorge Masdival.
Natalya and Montez Ford are among the ten unnamed Superstars. Today's press release later mentioned how the publishing division has projects underway with Ford, Natalya, and Stratton, but they did not elaborate. Publishing seems to be a main area for Paradigm, as they have many projects going on in that division.
Paradigm also touted its scripted division. The key projects listed there were indie horror movie Night Patrol with Punk, plus comedy thriller The Killer's Game, which is the recently-released Lionsgate film with McIntyre and Batista. Paradigm is also working on Netflix's Happy Gilmore 2, which is to feature AEW's MJF.
The Sports Group is dedicated and all-encompassing, and it was established to represent Paradigm's roster of athletes and teams that include top WWE Superstars. The division will operate with a specialized team of agents across all Paradigm divisions, providing full-service representation to clients. Seasoned agents Brett Hansen and Nick LoPiccolo will lead The Sports Group.
World Wrestling Entertainment talents will be presented with the best-in-class opportunities when they are available from Paradigm's key disciplines: Talent, Brand Partnerships, Broadcasting, Speaking Engagements, Book Publishing, Scripted Literary, Unscripted, Media Rights, Content Finance, and Digital Ventures. Paradigm's team of 11 dedicated agents will also work with wrestlers on jumping into the wider entertainment industry, uncovering new revenue opportunities, and developing authentic brand partnerships, among other ventures.
Paradigm's new sports division represents another familiar face in Celebrity WWE Hall of Famer Mike Tyson. The Sports Group's other clients are The Savannah Bananas, "The Hoops Whisperer" Idan Ravin, high-wire artists Nik and Lijana Wallenda, former NHL star Sean Avery, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, late NBA legend Jerry West, plus former NFL stars Drew Bledsoe, Reggie Bush, and Aaron Donald.
WWE partner banking on Netflix exposure
Paradigm Talent Agency has expanded its partnership with World Wrestling Entertainment and its superstars by launching The Sports Group. The new division will include superstars and other elite athletes, teams, and brands. This comes after Tiffany Stratton, CM Punk, and Damian Priest joined Paradigm's regular roster months back.
Veteran agent Nick LoPiccolo noted in today's press release that they are setting a new standard with The Sports Group. He touted being able to deliver for WWE Superstars and the rest of their clients in a major way.
"Paradigm has always been at the forefront of talent representation, and with The Sports Group, we are setting a new standard. This dedicated division will allow us to deliver unparalleled opportunities and elevate our clients in unexpected ways," Nick LoPiccolo said.
Agency officials previously noted how they wanted to model Stratton's career on trajectories we've seen with The Rock, John Cena, and Batista. At that point, Paradigm was hopeful that the individual superstar stocks will continue to rise ahead of the entire industry getting bigger exposure when WWE and Netflix kick off their $5 billion 10-year deal in January.
