Pat McAfee breaks silence after massive Triple H announcement; seemingly confirms major change to WWE RAW
The excitement over the upcoming WWE RAW's move on Netflix has been off the charts, with a plethora of returns and massive appearances anticipated by the fans. The historic deal would kick in on January 6 from Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, when the red brand debuts on the massive streaming platform.
While WWE has already advertised several massive names for this episode, including the likes of Roman Reigns, The Rock, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and more, the surprises would still be a massive element. Triple H, while speaking at the Netflix Media Day event, announced that Pat McAfee would mark his full-time return to the Stamford-based company very soon.
While the date of his return has not been revealed, it seems like RAW's debut on Netflix would fit his return quite well. Addressing the massive announcement from Triple H, the 37-year-old broke silence in a recent post on X. McAfee stated that he was waiting to reunite with Michael Cole, teasing that the SmackDown personality would switch brands too once the historic deal with Netflix came into effect.
"An absolute honor to be asked back.. A Childhood dream realized every single time I’m lucky enough to be in an arena with the @WWE Universe. Can’t wait to be talking into a microphone next to @MichaelCole again.. He’s the [GOAT]. I’m excited to tell the worldwide audience on Netflix how great the WWE Superstars are…. and how big of scumbags some of ‘em are too. Let’s go," wrote McAfee.
Who will lead SmackDown's commentary if Michael Cole moves to WWE RAW?
With Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett doing a commendable job on the red brand lately, both men moving to SmackDown followed by both Michael Cole and Corey Graves moving to RAW seems quite a possibility.
This would also lead to Pat McAfee and Corey Graves resuming their entertaining rivalry, keeping the fans attracted to the product following the red brand's move to Netflix. Time will tell what Triple H has in store for the commentary teams on both brands with McAfee's return.
