Pat McAfee makes heartbreaking announcement just hours before WWE RAW

Pat McAfee just shared heartbreaking news ahead of tonight's episode of WWE RAW at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. McAfee will be making his final appearance on the red brand for a while, seemingly taking a hiatus from his job as a color commentator.

In a post on his Instagram Story, McAfee announced that he'll be taking some time away from his duties in WWE. He felt sad while listening to Post Malone and Jelly Roll's new hit song "Losers" on his way to the arena.

The 37-year-old commentator will be covering the college football season for ESPN on the popular show College Gameday. The CFB season is set to start next week, so McAfee has to fulfill those obligations for the worldwide leader in sports.

In addition to his College Gameday commitment, Pat McAfee will also cover NFL games for the upcoming season. McAfee offers a unique insight given that he played football for eight years with the Indianapolis Colts as a punter and kickoff specialist.

It's unclear who will replace Pat McAfee on the red brand, but Corey Graves and Wade Barrett are available from SmackDown. Joe Tessitore was also hired to be a play-by-play announcer and will start in September.

Michael Cole is set to move to Friday nights, so either Graves or Barrett will likely move to RAW to partner with Tessitore.
