Paul Heyman shares teaser for Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes amid WWE SmackDown return rumors

The WWE Universe has been buzzing about Paul Heyman in a major way tonight. Amid heavy rumors about The Wiseman's imminent return to The Bloodline storyline, Heyman himself was fueling the speculation with a teaser for Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

The Special Counsel has not been seen since being decimated by Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline to close WWE SmackDown on June 28. Heyman was attacked for refusing to acknowledge the new Tribal Chief. Now that The OTC has been back for more than a month, it's believed that The Wiseman could return at any time, if not at the Bad Blood PLE on October 5.

Heyman caused a frenzy this week when he revealed that he was traveling, fueling speculations of a return during the second week of the blue brand on the USA Network. To add to that, the Hall of Famer took to his Instagram stories to share an image of Reigns and Rhodes from tonight's SmackDown vignette on the rivals-turned-partners. He also shared a nod to his Tribal Chief, and another plug for tonight's show.

Tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown will air live from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA. The confirmed lineup is as follows: Apollo Crews vs. Giovanni Vinci; Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton vs. Naomi & Bayley in a Tornado Match to determine Jax's challenger for Bad Blood; a vignette on Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes; LA Knight to defend the United States Championship against Andrade.
