"People came out of their clothes"- WWE legend's finishing move is more over than The Rock's, says veteran (Exclusive)
The Rock's finishing move, The People's Elbow, used to be widely popular among WWE fans. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo believes that Stone Cold Steve Austin's Stunner has more popularity than the Brahma Bull's finisher.
The Rock and Stone Cold are two of the biggest WWE Superstars of all time. The duo was also majorly famous among casual fans and led the company into one of its most prospering eras.
During his recent appearance on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo was asked about the most-over finishing move in pro wrestling history. The former WWE head writer noted that Stone Cold's Stunner takes the edge over the Brahma Bull's People Elbow:
"That one I agree with [Stone Cold’s finisher being the most over finishing move]. It’s a ton more over than the People’s Elbow. I think so. I am watching so much Attitude Era now bro for Russo’s brand and every time he hit the Stunner, people came out of their clothes." [From 58:56 onwards]
Both Rock and Stone Cold are still popular among wrestling fans. The Final Boss' recent run as a heel was regarded as one of the best character work of his career. While he is currently busy with non-wrestling stuff, The Rock is expected to return to the global juggernaut during the WrestleMania season.
