Photo: Alexa Bliss shows off new look amid WWE hiatus

WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss has been on maternity leave since failing to knock then-RAW Women's Champion Bianca Belair off her perch at Royal Rumble this year.

Alexis Cabrera and her spouse, Ryan Cabrera, are expecting their first child in December 2023. The married couple recently revealed that they're having a baby girl and named their daughter - Hendrix Rouge Cabrera.

Despite being away from WWE TV, Bliss has remained active on social media and has kept her fans updated with her pregnancy progress. Earlier today, Little Miss Bliss took to her Instagram handle to unveil her new look. The former RAW Women's Champion appears to have chopped off her pink hair streaks, donning a short hairdo.

In the caption, she wrote:

"Chop chop ✂️🖤 Thank you @luismarstonvega & @marcrosariio."

Alexa Bliss opens up about her WWE absence

Alexa Bliss was set to undergo a drastic character change before taking an indefinite hiatus.

During an exclusive chat with The Messenger, The Goddess asserted that her sabbatical from WWE will allow fans to miss her and also help her reinvent her character:

Time away and reinventing a character, and evolving yourself is the key to career longevity at WWE. So I always say time away is such a good thing because it gives people the time to miss you. When you’re being seen on WWE [TV] three or four times an episode, you don’t really have anywhere to go with your character. So whenever you take time off, it’s always a good time to evolve and to keep going."

It will be a while before Bliss returns to the squared circle. She recently made it clear that she isn't planning to rush back to the ring. The 32-year-old Superstar wants to spend the "first fundamental months" with her baby.
