WWE veteran comments on Kurt Angle's heel work

Former WWE and current AEW commentator Jim Ross recently shared his thoughts on the Olympic Gold Medalist's portrayal of a villainous role on television. The veteran spoke about this on his Grilling JR podcast a few weeks ago.

Jim Ross stated that Kurt Angle's heel turn during the Attitude Era was inevitable due to the natural heel characteristics he exhibited despite his typically clean-cut image.

"Usually you had a clean-looking face in that era, in the Attitude Era, he was going to get booed anyway. So I thought it was inevitable that he would be a heel. I didn't know how good a heel he would become. He wasn't just good at being a heel; he was great at being a heel because it allowed him to be in his more natural self," he said.
