Popular name revealed as WWE SmackDown women’s locker room leader ahead of major switch
The WWE SmackDown women's division is loaded with top stars, including Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Bianca Belair, and Jade Cargill. The blue brand's roster also features talents with at least more than a decade of experience, such as Candice LeRae, Piper Niven, and Naomi. The locker room leader has now been revealed.
Bayley's career began in April 2008 at age 18. The former Four Horsewomen member joined World Wrestling Entertainment in December 2012, and since then has made history several times, including: as WWE's first Women's Triple Crown and Women's Grand Slam Champion; as one-half of the inaugural Women's Tag Team Champions; and as the first woman to defend a championship in Saudi Arabia.
The Role Model is generally considered to have leadership qualities as she's well-liked and highly respected. However, Mia Yim has revealed how this goes a bit further as Bayley was a locker room leader.
A fan on X responded to Bayley's supportive comments to Yim today. Michin wrote back and disclosed interesting information about the 2024 Royal Rumble winner's backstage demeanor.
"She watches all our matches and always showing support. Our locker room leader 💙💙, " Mia Yim wrote.
Bayley has not publicly responded to Yim as of this writing. After defeating Tiffany Stratton on last week's SmackDown, the 16-year industry veteran is being advertised to appear on tonight's season premiere on the USA Network.
WWE SmackDown season premiere updates
WWE SmackDown is making its big move back to the USA Network tonight. The major live show with rumored swerves will be the first episode of the blue brand on USA since October 2019.
It was confirmed that the Steel Cage Match between Solo Sikoa and Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, will open tonight's show. It was also announced that the first thirty minutes would air commercial-free.
Below is the updated lineup for tonight's show:
- Steel Cage Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Solo Sikoa in the opening match
- Kevin Owens and a mystery partner vs. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller
- Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes for the tiebreaker in their 2-2 series.
SmackDown will air live from the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle tonight. Others advertised for tonight include Bayley, LA Knight, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair. RAW superstars are advertised for tonight's dark matches: Gunther facing off against Damian Priest and Ludwig Kaiser faces Sheamus.
