Popular RAW star thanks fans for cheering her after becoming the first name to advance in the IC Title Tournament
Monday Night RAW looks like it's going to have the most exciting year possible. The Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament is officially underway, and the first woman has entered the semi-finals. After a stunning win, she took to social media to thank fans for their positive response.
Starting on the December 2 episode of RAW, the first match saw the returning Katana Chance take on Shayna Baszler and the sentimental favorite Dakota Kai in a Triple Threat match. It wasn't just fans on social media who cheered Dakota Kai's win - it was the crowd.
After getting a great reaction to her first-round tournament win on RAW, the Intercontinental Title hopeful Dakota Kai thanked everybody for cheering her on.
"Thank u for tonight 🤍," she wrote.
Who will Dakota Kai face on RAW in the next round of the IC Title Tournament?
It will be interesting to see how things pan out in the Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament.
While the semi-finals will be set this Friday, there's no date for when the IC Title tournament will conclude.
It hasn't been announced for Saturday Night's Main Event, and had it been booked for the show, we likely would have seen all four matches on December 2 and the Semi-Finals on the go-home episode next week. However, the fact that only one match has been done means that WWE seems to be taking its time in this tournament.
So, who will Dakota Kai face next on RAW in the semi-finals? On her side of the bracket, another Triple Threat Match will take place, pitting Kayden Carter against the rising Zoey Stark and Raquel Rodriguez. It's safe to say that Liv Morgan's enforcer, Raquel Rodriguez, will be a favorite to advance and face Dakota Kai.
On the opposite end of the bracket, the young upstart Lyra Valkyria will face Zelina Vega & Ivy Nile in a Triple Threat match. At the same time, the other one will feature Alba Fyre taking on Kairi Sane and reliable veteran Natalya.
It's an exciting period to watch, and while WWE has not always put effort into ending a year with a bang, 2024 looks like it will end with a bang indeed.
