Popular star announces surgery ahead of rumored WWE debut

The WWE Universe is buzzing over the debut of a top talent, rumored to take place in the near future. Sources have reiterated how the company has major plans in the works, but new details were just revealed on the status of the debut amid injury and surgery concerns.

Giulia appeared for World Wrestling Entertainment during WrestleMania XL Weekend. It was reported that she returned to Japan to help launch the Dream Star Fighting Marigold promotion and then would return to WWE. News leaked just days ago about Giulia's injury and major push planned by WWE, while surprising storyline plans were also disclosed.

Giulia's arrival has been up in the air due to the injury she suffered at Marigold's debut event. Speaking to Tokyo Sports, the former Stardom champion confirmed that she checked into the hospital today and will be undergoing surgery tomorrow, Tuesday, May 28. The 30-year-old noted that this is her first career hospitalization and surgery. She decided to undergo surgery to repair the fracture so that she could wrestle former NXT star Sareee on July 13 in Tokyo.

"I was told that having surgery would help me recover faster than anything else, and I made the decision because I wanted to [wrestle] Sareee in the best possible condition. Right now, I'm not too worried. I'll be away from home for 3 nights and 4 days, so it's like going on a field trip. I won't be able to move, so I'm going to watch a movie for the first time in a while [because] I spend my time watching various pro wrestling videos," Giulia told Tokyo Sports via Google Translate.

Giulia appeared at Marigold's show on Sunday in Tokyo, wearing a sling on her arm. She watched the matches from the crowd, then confronted Sareee and Nagisa Nozaki after their main event win over Mai Sakurai and MIRAI.
