Popular tag team clarifies earlier comments about CM Punk that got them in "trouble"
A popular tag team made some comments about CM Punk during a previous interview, which got them in "trouble." They have now tried to clarify those comments.
Chelsea Green and Piper Niven became a tag team after Sonya Deville's injury. While the pairing was sudden, the two grew quite close over the several months they teamed up. They are also one of the most beloved tag teams due to their entertaining antics in the ring. However, Green always seems to be in trouble due to comments she makes on social media or live during a show.
During a recent interview with Gorilla Position, Chelsea Green warned Piper Niven as she noted that she got in "trouble" with CM Punk because she said he was "scary" during an interview with them. When asked if she was backtracking on her comments, Green said that she doesn't take anything back.
"I don't take anything back...."
Piper Niven then cut her off and said they were not denying it either for a weird reason.
"Can't confirm or deny that Phillip is evil. I don't know. His name's Philip, so as a Scottish person, that instantly gets my back up." [9:40 - 10:00]
Huge update regarding CM Punk's absence
CM Punk last competed in a Hell in a Cell match at WWE Bad Blood 2024 against Drew McIntyre. After a long, drawn-out feud, Punk has stepped away from the ring for a bit and hasn't been seen on RAW or SmackDown in recent weeks.
According to reports by Fightful Select, Punk had already planned to be away from the company during this time of year. He also didn't want to work at Crown Jewel. The Straight Edge Superstar is expected to be out until after November 11.
It will be interesting to see who CM Punk will feud with after he returns.
