Popular WWE Champion reaches major milestone; sends message
The WWE Universe regularly celebrates milestones set by their favorite superstars. A popular but somewhat controversial champion just hit a significant milestone in her career and is now boasting ahead of a major title defense.
Roxanne Perez is currently in her second reign as NXT Women's Champion. The 22-year-old captured the gold from Lyra Valkyria at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 6 during WrestleMania XL Weekend. The 16-minute match ended with Perez forcing Valkyria to tap out. She has continued her rise as a top heel for the developmental brand as the year rolls on.
The Prodigy just hit the 101-day mark of her second NXT Women's Championship reign. Perez took to Instagram to celebrate and tout the milestone, declaring that she will hold the gold forever. The next challenger is expected to be revealed on tonight's live episode.
"happy 101 consecutive days to me and my baby, here’s to forever [smiling face with heart eyes emoji] #TuesdayNightRox," Roxanne Perez wrote with the photo below.
Perez has made five successful title defenses since dethroning The Lady Of The Opera at NXT Stand & Deliver. She has retained against Natalya, later over Valkyria and Tatum Paxley in a Triple Threat match, Chelsea Green and TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace have also faced defeat against the young star. Lola Vice was the latest challenger who lost to Roxxane at the Heatwave Premium Live Event.
Updated lineup for WWE NXT tonight; Roxanne Perez announced
Tonight's WWE NXT episode will air live from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The build to The Great American Bash is set to heat up tonight as fallout from Heatwave continues.
WWE has announced that Roxanne Perez will speak from the ring tonight. The official NXT preview noted that the Women's Champion will address the crowd, but no other details were provided. Below is the updated lineup:

- The O.C. vs. OTM in Six-Person Mixed Tag Team action

The Rascalz are reuniting after TNA sent Zach Wentz and Trey Miguel to team with their old friend, Wes Lee. This is the latest cross promotion program between WWE and TNA.
