Popular WWE duo reunites to battle The Bloodline
A popular WWE duo recently reunited to battle The Bloodline in tag team action. The heel faction picked up a major victory this past Friday night on SmackDown.
Jacob Fatu replaced Tonga Loa in the Tag Team Gauntlet Match this past Friday night on the blue brand. He teamed up with Tama Tonga and they won the match to earn a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship next Friday night. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated The Usos in the main event of Night One of WrestleMania 39 to become champions in 2023. The duo reunited during a WWE Live event yesterday in Tokyo to defeat The Bloodline's Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa in a tag team match.
The Bloodline has had several changes made to it during Roman Reigns' hiatus. Solo Sikoa has made himself the new Tribal Chief and ordered an attack on Paul Heyman last month after The Wiseman refused to acknowledge him. Jimmy Uso was also removed from the group following his loss to Jey Uso at WrestleMania XL and hasn't appeared in months. Cody Rhodes is set to defend his title against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam this Saturday night.
Former WWE manager believes The Bloodline will slaughter their opponents on SmackDown
Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell believes that The Bloodline will be walking out of next Friday's edition of SmackDown as WWE Tag Team Champions.
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa (#DIY) recently captured the title from Grayson Waller and Austin Theory (A-Town Down Under) on SmackDown. As a result of winning the Gauntlet Match this past Friday night, Fatu and Tonga will be challenging for the gold on next week's show. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk podcast, Mantell predicted the heel faction to capture the titles this Friday night in convincing fashion.
"So you want #DIY to hang on to it? I don't think they will. I think they will get slaughtered," said Mantell. [34:38 onwards]
