Popular WWE megastar should have helped Roman Reigns on SmackDown, feels wrestling veteran (Exclusive)

WWE star Roman Reigns destroyed The Bloodline this week on SmackDown. Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell loved the segment but felt it would have more gravitas if Cody Rhodes also showed up during the angle.

The Original Tribal Chief returned to WWE at SummerSlam. He destroyed the new Bloodline and Speared Solo, allowing Cody Rhodes to retain the Undisputed Title in the Bloodline Rules match.

On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk podcast this week, Mantell stated that he expected to see Cody Rhodes return the favor by helping Roman Reigns against The Bloodline. He wanted to see the champ help his former rival and then the two megastars would have a staredown in the middle of the ring.

"You know what I expected there with Roman taking on the other two guys? I expected Cody to halfway show up and they have the staredown in the show. Nothing changes, just Cody comes back and tries to get those two guys off Roman. He hates Roman, Roman hates him. Still, they could have helped each other. I don't think it would've hurt anything. That's what I expected." [24:07 onwards]

Roman Reigns sent a clear message to Solo Sikoa this week as he destroyed Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa on SmackDown.

It will be interesting to see how the Tribal Chief takes back control of the faction he created in the coming weeks.
