Popular WWE star asks CM Punk to bring AJ Lee back to the company

A popular WWE Superstar asked CM Punk to bring AJ Lee back to the promotion. Lee and Punk are a real-life couple who got married in 2014.

Earlier today, WWE released behind-the-scenes footage of CM Punk's return to the company last year at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023. In the video, Bayley can be seen giving Punk a hug backstage.

The Role Model told the 46-year-old to bring AJ Lee back to the company during their backstage interaction, and Punk noted that he would do what he could.

"Bring her in," Bayley said.
"I'll do what I can," Punk replied.

Lee has not competed in a match since 2015, but fans are still clamoring for her return. CM Punk returned from a brief hiatus this past Friday night on SmackDown and was named the OG Bloodline's final teammate for the Men's WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series 2024 this Saturday in Vancouver, Canada.

Bill Apter reveals what could bring AJ Lee back to WWE

Legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter recently shared what could bring AJ Lee back to the company.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, Apter noted that wrestling fans wanted Lee to return to the promotion. The veteran stated that if WWE were to make her a great offer and present her with a compelling storyline, she would likely return to the company.

"I think the fans are dying for her (AJ Lee) to come back. She was great when she was in the business. We don't know what she'll—if she comes back she's got to be physically and mentally ready and I don't know her current situation or anything, I haven't been in touch with her. I've talked to Punk but I think if they make a good offer and there's a great angle, that will bring her back in," Bill Apter said. [From 20:36 to 21:03]

CM Punk recently suggested that Lee's return would be bigger than his last year at Survivor Series: WarGames. Only time will tell if Lee ever decides to return to the promotion down the line.
