Popular WWE star botches viral "Hawk Tuah!" trend in hilarious fashion
The WWE Universe has its own social trends that often go viral out of nowhere. The latest mainstream trend to sweep the internet is the "Hawk Tuah!" meme girl. One popular superstar who likes to engage in shenanigans, online and offline, has just jumped on the "Hawk Tuah!" bandwagon but unfortunately he botched it a bit. The star noted here is Braun Strowman.
A woman named Hailey Welch from Nashville, TN recently appeared on Tim & Dee TV, where she was asked about bedroom behavior. Her NSFW response included one onomatopoeic saying that is meant to simulate the sound of spitting - "Hawk Tuah!" The woman quickly went viral, and is now enjoying her 15 minutes of fame, which included a video from the current WWE Women's World Champion - Liv Morgan. Another WWE star who wanted to join in on the trend was Strowman.
The Monster of all Monsters often likes to show off his expensive toys on social media. He took to Instagram today to reveal his latest purchase - the Audi R8, which is priced north of $158,000 for the latest model.
"Dream BIG!!!! Work HARD!!!! #TheWorldIsYours #BeliveInYourself," Braun Strowman wrote with the photo below.
The 6-foot-8-inch Strowman then took to the comments section and joked about how he fits inside the 2-door coupe, which looked absolutely diminutive in front of The Monster Among Men. The former WWE Universal Champion took the opportunity to use the "Hawk Tuah!" meme, but he botched it just a bit.
"For everyone wondering how I get in this. Well, I have to hawk thuh that thang before I slide in it!!!! [man shrugging emoji]," Braun Strowman wrote.
Strowman told one fan that he has to stretch before he tries to fold himself into the automobile, adding that it's a very tight fit but he didn't buy the supercar for comfort.
Braun Strowman fails to qualify for WWE Money In the Bank
Monday's RAW featured a Money in the Bank qualifying match with Braun Strowman, Chad Gable, and Bronson Reed.
Despite defeating Gable in singles action the week before, The Monster Among Men was unable to qualify for the men's MITB ladder match as he was attacked by The Judgment Day. Gable then pinned Reed to earn his spot in the ladder match.
Strowman returned to action in mid-May after being out for a year due to neck fusion surgery. Since then, he has defeated Judgment Day member JD McDonagh and their associate Carlito in RAW singles bouts, and then two weeks ago, he teamed with Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio to defeat JD, Carlito, and Dominik Mysterio.
