Popular WWE star lays down challenge following victory on RAW

A popular WWE star issued a bold challenge following an impressive victory this past Monday night on RAW. The star in question returned from a three-month hiatus last week on the red brand.

Natalya lost to Kiana James on the June 3 edition of RAW and then didn't compete again on the red brand until September 9. The veteran returned to team up with Lyra Valkyria and Zelina Vega to defeat Pure Fusion Collective (Zoey Stark, Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler) in a six-woman tag team match.

Natalya defeated Zoey Stark in a singles match this past Monday night as well. Following her victory on RAW, she took to Instagram to challenge Pure Fusion Collective's Sonya Deville and Shayna Baszler to singles matches.

"ENERGY MATCHING ENERGY, @zoeystarkwwe. Bring me @sonyadevillewwe and @qosbaszler next. #wweraw," she wrote.

Sonya Deville missed several months of action due to a torn ACL before returning to the ring on the July 15 edition of RAW.

Vince Russo reacts to Natalya's victory on WWE RAW

Wrestling veteran Vince Russo was not a fan of Natalya, Lyra Valkyria, and Zelina Vega defeating Pure Fusion Collective on the September 9 episode of RAW.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, Russo criticized the decision to hand Pure Fusion Collective a loss. The legend noted that the company spent money on the group's presentation, but it hasn't resulted in the faction being pushed on television.

"What is the name of that group again? Pure Fusion Collective, bro, you know what’s bad? Natalya is in her hometown of Calgary, so they are doing the job...What you’re talking about there is all money and investment. That’s not free. The titantrons, the packages put together, that’s not free, that is an investment. So, you’re gonna invest all this money and at the end of the investment, it’s going to be 50-50." [58:41 - 1:00:22]

The former champion reportedly signed a new contract with the promotion earlier this year. It will be interesting to see if either Sonya Deville or Shayna Baszler accepts the 42-year-old's challenge in the weeks ahead.
