Popular WWE star missing from Bash in Berlin
WWE's ongoing Bash in Berlin event features only five contests, continuing the company's trend of following a 'less is more' concept. One name who was missing from SmackDown is the brand's play-by-play commentator, Corey Graves.
Pat McAfee and Michael Cole are RAW's duo on the commentary team. However, McAfee's upcoming four-month hiatus was addressed by Cole last week. On Friday, the latter joined Wade Barrett inside the Uber Arena for an eventful SmackDown episode.
While it is unclear how Pat McAfee's departure will affect the company's flagship shows in terms of the commentary team, for the time being, WWE assigned Wade Barrett and Michael Cole with the duties. They are the commentators for Bash in Berlin as well.
This week's red brand episode will air live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, and the show's commentary team has not been disclosed as of writing. The show will nevertheless feature the fallout from Bash in Berlin.
There are three major contests at the event that represent RAW, including the show's main event between World Heavyweight Champion Gunther and Randy Orton. Meanwhile, the creative team has a whole month to build October's Bad Blood, given that WWE CCO Triple H may have decided to take things slow in September.
It remains to be seen whether Corey Graves will be heading to RAW, as Cole moves to SmackDown and we await the arrival of Joe Tessitore to the red brand.
