Popular WWE star mocks Damage CTRL ahead of RAW
WWE's Damage CTRL has been trying to build momentum on Monday Night RAW by getting some wins under their belt. Recently, Sonya Deville mocked the faction on X (formerly Twitter).
On the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, Damage CTRL got a taste of their own medicine when the trio of Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark blindsided the faction and unleashed a brutal attack.
There's enough mystery surrounding the trio, as they're ready to take over the division. Ahead of next week's Monday Night RAW, Sonya Deville mocked the faction and sent a message on X.
"Damage controlled," Deville wrote.
Meanwhile, former WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY was recently in Japan, where she scored a victory. It'll be interesting to see how the group retaliates against the newly introduced trio in the coming weeks.
Sonya Deville on relinquishing the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship
Sonya Deville has been with the promotion for years and has spent the majority of her time as a tag team performer. Last year, Deville received her big break in the promotion when she captured the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Chelsea Green.
However, those dreams were shattered when she got injured. In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Deville revealed she was devastated upon getting injured and relinquishing her first-ever championship in the Stamford-based promotion.
“20 days, 21 days [before]—who’s counting? 30 seconds. I was so devastated. I mean, I’d been with the company for nine years. And of course, part of being in the WWE is to one day grab that brass ring and get gold around your waist, and that’s what I had been striving for, of course. So I finally got my first championship, and I was so happy. I was so elated. I was ready to make those titles mean more than ever before. And the injury came, which is probably why I ran back to my hotel and hid in my room and didn’t tell anyone I was injured," Deville revealed. [H/T: Chris Van Vliet]
