Popular WWE star name-drops Scott Steiner after SmackDown goes off the air

WWE United States Champion LA Knight has a tough task ahead of him at Crown Jewel. The star will be defending the gold against Carmelo Hayes and Andrade at the major event in Saudi Arabia on November 2.

The seventh encounter between Andrade and Carmelo ended in a no-contest after Knight blew his gasket. The United States Champion got angry when a Superkick from Carmelo accidentally hit him instead of Andrade. He retaliated with two BFTs to both wrestlers, leading to an abrupt ending to the match. Later, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis reprimanded the US Champ by putting him in a Triple Threat match at Crown Jewel.

WWE correspondent Byron Saxton caught up with The Megastar after the show on SmackDown LowDown. Knight claimed that despite being in a Triple Threat match, he was not busting out the numbers game and "Steiner math." This was where he name-dropped Scott Steiner.

The star made it clear there was no chance he would lose the US title to either Andrade or Carmelo at Crown Jewel.

"Now I understand that the odds are against me. I don't need to stand here and do the math. Some would say I've got a sixty-six and a half percent chance of losing, or is it, sixty-six and two-thirds. Doesn't make a difference. When it comes down to it, I ain't gonna do the Steiner math and all that," said Knight.

He continued:

"If you know who I am, and you know what this is about, then you know that I've got that one under forty-one percent chance of winning at the end of Crown Jewel and still being your US Champ because can't anybody touch me on this earth, not here in Brooklyn, not in Saudi Arabia, not anywhere. Because who's game is it? With everybody saying LA Knight and still your US Champion, yeah!" [From 0:55 - 1:35]

WWE Crown Jewel is shaping up to be a great event

The highlight of the event will be the top men's Champions, Cody Rhodes and Gunther, facing off for the Crown Jewel Championship. WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax and World Women's Champion Liv Morgan will also square off for the Women's Crown Jewel Championship.

Other matches include WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair facing off against Damage CTRL, Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson, and Chelsea Green & Piper Niven in a Tag Team encounter.

Some deeply personal rivalries will also be settled when Seth Rollins takes on "Big" Bronson Reed, and Randy Orton faces Kevin Owens.
