Popular WWE star reacts to John Cena retiring; wants 4-time champion to be one of his final opponents

WWE's John Cena shocked the world at Money in the Bank in Toronto when he addressed his in-ring future and plans for 2025. SmackDown Superstar Chelsea Green reacted to the segment, expressing her desire to see Matt Cardona face Cena next year.

WWE recently hosted multiple events in Canada. At Money in the Bank 2024, John Cena announced his upcoming retirement tour, which will start in January 2025 and will cover a variety of shows, including WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.

In an interview with Steve Fall on Ten Count Media, Chelsea Green addressed The Cenation Leader's upcoming retirement. The former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion also pitched Matt Cardona as one of his final opponents.

"It was a very emotional moment. We were all shocked. We were all shocked to see him there. We were all shocked at the announcement. I definitely had no idea that that [Retirement announcement] was coming. I was so surprised. John's [Cena] like one of those men who just like he never ages and he's never going to leave wrestling. That's how we all feel, right? So to hear that, it was really really shocking. I mean I'm excited to see what comes next for him. But, now, I'm just hoping that, you know, my husband [Matt Cardona] can get in there for one of his last matches," Green said. (From 11:00 to 11:30)
