Popular WWE star seemingly forms new alliance; reacts after Monday Night RAW
The landscape of WWE has witnessed several new stables and alliances across brands to elevate stars in the promotion. Today, Zoey Stark reached out for help after Shayna Baszler's loss, and Sonya Deville reacted to it.
Earlier this year, Sonya Deville returned to the Stamford-based promotion after WrestleMania in Philadelphia. The star was out for several months due to a knee injury and joined Monday Night RAW. Meanwhile, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark reunited after Baszler's trip to the developmental brand.
Deville offered the duo advice and help but Baszler and Stark rejected it. On a recent episode of Monday Night RAW, Baszler lost a qualifier match to Lyra Valkyria for the upcoming ladder match. Later, Stark asked for Deville's help by tweeting that she wanted to talk.
Today, Sonya Deville sent a message to the star on X, as she was waiting for them to approach her again. There could be multiple possibilities, but the most obvious one would be that the duo agrees to ally with Deville and take her advice. Moreover, she could potentially become their mouthpiece on Monday Night RAW:
"About damn time…," Deville wrote.
Sonya Deville on relinquishing the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
It's often difficult for a star to break into the promotion and hold any championship gold in WWE. Several stars spent years trying to do so, and sometimes they never won any titles throughout their entire run. Last year, Sonya Deville won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships with Chelsea Green.
During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Deville spoke about the time she had to relinquish her title and go on a hiatus due to an injury. This was Deville's first championship in nearly eight years of working with WWE:
“20 days, 21 days [before] who’s counting? 30 seconds. I was so devastated. I mean, I’d been with the company for nine years. And of course, part of being in the WWE is to one day grab that brass ring and get gold around your waist and that’s what I had been striving for, of course. So I finally got my first championship and I was so happy. I was so elated. I was ready to make those titles mean more than ever before. And the injury came, which is probably why I ran back to my hotel and hid in my room and didn’t tell anyone I was injured," said Deville.
It'll be interesting to see what the stars will do on the red brand in the coming weeks.
