Popular WWE star shares unfortunate side effect of Saudi Arabia visit
WWE Crown Jewel 2024 took place at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last week. Ahead of the first SmackDown after the premium live event, a popular star has shared an unfortunate side effect of their visit to the Middle Eastern country.
WWE SmackDown's backstage interviewer traveled to Saudi Arabia for the PLE and the following edition of Monday Night RAW. The 36-year-old and Kevin Owens allegedly had a terrible accident as their dune buggy flipped over in the desert ahead of the show.
Cathy Kelley recently took to her X (FKA Twitter) account to share a video from her visit to a doctor following the premium live event. She claimed that the doctor removed a significant amount of sand from her ear:
"yesterday a doctor removed quote, “the most sand ever seen in a patients ear”…. not to brag #dunebuggygate," she wrote.

Kevin Owens made serious allegations ahead of his match at WWE Crown Jewel
Kevin Owens turned heel at WWE Bad Blood by attacking Cody Rhodes, as he was upset with the latter joining forces with Roman Reigns. The Prizefighter took out Randy Orton the following week for siding with The American Nightmare. On the following edition of the blue brand's show, The Viper talked Triple H into announcing a match between Owens and Orton.
Ahead of the show, however, KO made some serious allegations against Orton and Rhodes. While speaking during the Countdown to Crown Jewel, Kevin Owens stated he and Cathy Kelley were involved in a dune buggy accident. The former WWE Universal Champion accused the former Legacy teammates of paying off the driver to cause the accident:
"We got into a dune buggy, and what happened? We flipped, [and] we rolled over several times. How many was it 3, 4, 5 times? [Cathy Kelley responds: We rolled over three times] We were in a car accident two days ago, and you know why? Because I have no doubt that [the] driver was paid off by Randy Orton or Cody Rhodes to make that happen. Because everyone is against me, do you know that?" he said.
Wrestling fans were excited to see Kevin Owens lock horn with his former ally, Randy Orton. However, before the contest could begin, Owens attacked the 14-time World Champion with a chair. The two continued to brawl, resulting in the match getting called off.
