Popular WWE star speculates on The Judgment Day's future
The Judgment Day's WWE future has been up in the air for months amid tension within the group. The 37th annual SummerSlam Premium Live Event accelerated the destruction of the faction, and now their future is being questioned ahead of RAW.
Dominik Mysterio turned on Rhea Ripley to help Liv Morgan retain the Women's World Championship in the SummerSlam opener. A furious Damian Priest stormed into the faction's HQ and grabbed Finn Balor to ask if he knew about Dirty Dom's turn ahead of time. The World Tag Team Champion was not happy with Priest's actions but denied knowing about it as he went with Carlito, and JD McDonagh to look for Dominik.
JD promised to offer support to The Archer of Infamy, who said he would "kill this kid," but first he had to face Gunther. Their 16-minute match saw Finn run down to assist The Ring General and betray Damian. As Gunther celebrated with the World Heavyweight Championship, Michael Cole declared that this will be remembered as the implosion of The Judgment Day.
The New Day has battled The Final Testament as of late, but Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are also very familiar with The Judgment Day. Woods took to X today and speculated on the future of The Judgment Day. While the UpUpDownDown boss made light of the situation, he also wondered if they've learned anything from R-Truth and if they can reconcile.
"Let's see if The Judgement Day learned anything from @RonKillings - Can they talk about it? Can they reconcile? Who gets to keep the purple? Is anyone taking the purple?" Xavier Woods wrote.
Woods was then reminded about Carlito, the unofficial member or associate of The Judgment Day. The 2021 King of the Ring borrowed The Caribbean Bad Apple's "cool" catchphrase to continue cracking jokes about the RAW heel faction.
"AND CARLITO!!!! WHAT ABOUT CARLITO?!?! THIS IS NOT COOL," Xavier Woods wrote.
Edge, aka Adam Copeland, founded The Judgment Day in April 2022, along with Priest, followed by Rhea Ripley one month later. The WWE Hall of Famer was expelled that June as Finn Balor took over, and then Dominik Mysterio was brought on in September 2022. McDonagh linked up with the faction in November 2023, and Carlito has been associated since May.
JD McDonagh makes statement ahead of WWE RAW
The Judgment Day's implosion is expected to continue on Monday's post-SummerSlam edition of WWE RAW. JD McDonagh has made his position clear.
The Irish Ace took to Instagram today and revealed how he destroyed one of his Judgment Day t-shirts. McDonagh shared 4 photos that show him ripping the tee.
"Never liked this shirt anyway.#SummerSlam," JD McDonagh wrote with the photos below.
McDonagh and Balor are the current World Tag Team Champions. Thanks to an assist from Liv Morgan, the Irish grapplers captured the titles from Awesome Truth on June 24 in the RAW main event.
