Popular WWE star wants to push Gunther to the limit; has his eyes on the World Heavyweight Championship

Gunther's reign in WWE as the World Heavyweight Champion has only begun, however, many stars have already expressed their desire to face The Ring General. Recently, Baron Corbin showed interest in getting his hands on the new title and pushing the champ to his limit.

Earlier this year, Gunther won the King of the Ring Tournament and earned himself a World Title shot. The Ring General fulfilled his prophecy and became the new World Heavyweight Champion by beating Damian Priest at SummerSlam in Ohio.

In an interview with Wrestling News Co., Baron Corbin spoke highly of Gunther. However, The Lone Wolf expressed his desire to push The Ring General to his limit and get his hands on World Championship gold for the first time in WWE.

"I mean, I think it's amazing. He's one heck of a competitor, in and out of the ring for himself, his body, his family. Accomplishing this is amazing because it's no easy feat. I've been doing this for twelve years now, and I've yet to get my hands on the title. It shows you how amazing of a competitor he is, but I'm also a guy who really likes to fight and likes to slug it out with prople who are hard-nosed, they're tough, they want to fight as well. I'm excited because maybe one of these times I'll mix it up with him for that World Title, and I would love to push each other to the limit and see what happens," Corbin said. [From 03:24 to 03:57]

Gunther received another challenge from an ex-WWE star ahead of Bash in Berlin

Gunther was well protected on WWE's main roster for nearly two years, where he became the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in the Stamford-based promotion's history.

However, the 37-year-old star is beatable, as he's taken losses in his career before joining and working in WWE. Speaking on Cafe De Rene, Low-Ki, (fka Kaval), reflected on his previous encounters with The Ring General. The veteran also called out the current World Heavyweight Champion for a rematch.

"Me, from a historical standpoint, I'm calling out the top of the food chain in the biggest company in the world because I can. I still train at the main event level. You still got me by size, and you're in a better shape now than you've ever been before. Okay, but that still means nothing to me cause I can beat you," he said.

It'll be interesting to see if Gunther can get the better of Randy Orton again and leave Berlin as the World Champion.
