Popular WWE stars make bold prediction for RAW title match
The final WWE RAW season on the USA Network will continue tonight as the company's flagship show airs live from Portland, Oregon. Several big matches are planned for tonight, and some fan-favorite superstars have just made a confident prediction on a championship bout.
The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh are in their first reign together as WWE World Tag Team Champions. They dethroned Awesome Truth on June 24, and while they defended against The New Day at three non-televised live events in Japan in late July, tonight will be the first TV defense for the Irish Superstars. They will once again face The New Day.
Officials shared the following video of The New Day's Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods arriving at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The veteran superstars accused The Judgment Day of holding the titles hostage and promised to take them back on tonight's RAW. Kofi and Xavier proceeded to insult Finn and JD, then take shots at them for being "trash" champions who have not defended their titles.
The New Day bragged about how they have always been fighting champions that bring prestige to the gold. They ended the promo by declaring that The Judgment Day needs to do their jobs and defend because all they do is walk around mad at Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. The company captioned the video with speculation on whether The New Day will become 13-time champions tonight.
"Can @truekofi and @austincreedwins become tag team champions once again TONIGHT on #WWERaw? [thinking face emoji]," WWE wrote with the video below.
Officials have also announced the following for tonight's live RAW: CM Punk will return, Braun Strowman vs. Bronson Reed, Natalya vs. Zoey Stark, Pete Dunne vs. Sheamus, and Damian Priest vs. Dominik Mysterio. The episode will feature more build to the Bad Blood PLE.
