Popular WWE Superstar avoids serious injury following brutal botch on RAW

The tag team division has been shaken up on WWE RAW over the past few weeks. Alpha Academy and American Made seem to be finding their place.

This week on WWE RAW the two teams finally faced off and, despite a shocking botch, Akira Tozawa was able to remain in the match to be pinned at the finish. He dove through the ropes but it seems he misjudged the height and his feet got stuck on the ropes and took him straight down. This means he didn't get the distance on the jump and the move and wasn't far enough to hit his opponents.

This has happened numerous times in the past, with the likes of Sasha Banks and Brie Bella, since it seems that outside-the-ring dives can be misjudged even by the most advanced WWE Superstars.

Tozawa is lucky he was able to get up and continue the match after the fall. He landed on his head and then got up and scaled the ring post. As noted, his efforts were in vain since his team lost to American Made after a distraction from Ivy Nile.

This wasn't the only botch, since Otis also dropped Tozawa when he was supposed to catch him on the outside.
