Popular WWE Superstar has disappointing reaction to viral video
The WWE Universe is a key part of the social media era of pro wrestling. Fans today have around-the-clock and up-close access to their favorite wrestlers and their not-so-favorites, which allows them to really give feedback to talent. One fan just shed light on a controversial new in-ring taunt by one popular superstar, and now they have received a response from the wrestler herself.
Michin made wrestling history this month by making it to the finals of the inaugural WWE Women's United States Championship tournament. However, the fan-favorite failed to leave Saturday Night's Main Event with the gold as she was defeated by Chelsea Green. Despite the loss, Mia Yim has been on a bit of a roll lately, mounting wins in the SmackDown women's division and growing her fanbase.
The HBIC recently added twerking to her in-ring repertoire. A fan took to X today to share a clip of Michin doing the dance during her WWE Speed win over Katana Chance. The 35-year-old replied with just six words and two emojis to reveal the kind of feedback she's receiving from the WWE Universe.
"I haven't heard one complaint yet [face with tears of joy emoji x 2]," Michin wrote.
Green defeated Michin in just over eight minutes in their tournament finals title match at SNME this past weekend. The match saw Piper Niven interfere on Green's behalf, and the finish came after Michin dropkicked Niven off the apron, allowing the new champion to take advantage by hitting the Unpretty-Her for the win.
Michin set for WWE Speed semifinals
Michin has defeated Katana Chance to advance in World Wrestling Entertainment's current Speed tournament for the women's division. The quarterfinal match ended with 50 seconds left on the three-minute clock.
Next week's Speed episode on X will feature Natalya vs. Zelina Vega, and the winner will face Michin later on. The winner of that will then challenge Candice LeRae for her Speed Women's Championship.
Michin made it to the finals by defeating Ivy Nile in the opening round. Chance defeated Alba Fyre in her first-round match.
