Popular WWE Superstar reveals he suffered cracked ribs at recent event

At a recent WWE show, a young athlete hurt himself. However, he shared an update on his social media, disclosing that he was all right.

The man in question is 21-year-old Je'Von Evans. On the June 11 episode of WWE NXT, he faced Shawn Spears in a one-on-one contest. During the bout, Evans went for a dive, only to land hard on the broadcast table. He was seen bleeding from the mouth afterward.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Je'Von Evans disclosed that he has messed up his ribs, but it is not something serious. He added that he needs to be ready for next week's Battle Royal:

"For Everyone Wondering, I’m All Good. Got Some Messed Up Ribs. The Dr Said They Are Cracked But Not Broken. Cmon Doc…We Gotta Tape ’em Up Ya Boy Gotta Battle Royal Next Week," wrote Evans.

The young athlete was referring to the 25-man Battle Royal on the June 18 episode to determine a new number-one contender to the NXT Champion, Trick Williams.

WWE NXT had a successful Battleground event recently

Always adding a boost to the former black-and-gold developmental brand, WWE NXT has become a successful weekly show in and of itself. Recently, the brand hosted NXT Battleground inside the UFC Apex in Nevada, Las Vegas.

The show featured TNA's Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace in a guest appearance, contending for NXT Women's Champion Roxxane Perez's title. Former AEW star Ethan Page joined the Tuesday show before the event and immediately received a title shot against Trick Williams.

WWE's Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels recently made some comments about NXT's success of late. He opened up about the criteria for recruiting athletes, highlighting among other things, the most important aspect of "character," saying that it trumps talent.

This prompted independent wrestler and former employee of the Stamford-based promotion, Matt Cardona, to present himself on social media as a viable candidate. Cardona, formerly Zack Ryder, has reiterated many times in the past that he is interested in returning to his previous stomping grounds. Whether the company considers a grand return for the popular star in the future bears watching.
